Apparently, Quizz had a need to rescue me from the Santa hat. He certainly wouldn’t wear it!
The year has passed in a blink of an eye. While so much has stayed the same, I’m still employed by my corporate overlords, my amazing dog is as fabulous as always, the cat still thinks we owe him fealty, my mother is still the same vibrant person as always and I’m still knocking small planets out of orbit for fun.
Other things have changed. I’m writing more, I’m writing a column in the Examiner.com on one of my favorite topics – Pit Bulls. Stay tuned for next year, there are things brewing on the writing front that will bring great tidings of ‘WOOO HOO!’
Charlie, the Cat’s determination shaved an inch off his tail, literally. Quizz earned the coveted Canine Good Citizen Certification in October. Yes, that means he is friendly, polite and has good manners.
I willingly went to Palmyra, NY with the Church youth on an eight hour bus ride for three days in July. A grand time was had, no teenager was harmed in the process. Very little sleep was had. I realized that, YES, I do require eight hours of sleep to remain civil. My Kindle is my best friend. And camp fire songs can be rapped, sung, spoken and in otherwise mutilated by enterprising adolescents.
There are adventures to be had, stories to be told and life to be lived in the upcoming year.
Bring on 2011.
