Charlie’s Having a Bad Day

So, Saturday Mr. Charlie got impatient.  He decided to let himself into the house all by himself.  BY HIMSELF!  So while he did his best to squeeze his slightly rotund body through the 5″x5″ square at the bottom of the screen door.

As he wiggled and wiggled, tragedy struck!  He caught his tail between the door and the door jamb.  What happened next is not for the faint of heart.

Charlie degloved the end of his tail. Very sad and terrible.

Imagine my surprise when I found that Charlie, the Cat had lost part of his tail.  No wonder he was complaining. Loudly.  Very Loudly!

To the vet we went!  Charlie was not pleased by the trip.

At the vet, Dr. Morgan gave us the bad news.  Charlie, the Cat would have to loose the last inch and half of his tail.   He is scheduled for surgery on Monday morning and back in the dreaded cone of doom.

Charlie, the Cat is not feeling well and can’t get comfortable.  He isn’t in a lot of pain but he isn’t feeling his best.  Even Quizz is handling him delicately.  Just to prove his point, Charlie is not amused, and is swatting at Quizz every chance he can get.

More to be posted on Monday.

About Leila

I hail from the East and view the world as my playground. I'm opinionated. My dog is my co-pilot, but my cat navigates better. I'm only limited by my imagination. While there are terrible things that happen in the world I am responsible for making good things happen where I live, and that affects the world at large making it a better place.

  1. Oh, that’s terrible. Who knew such a mundane action could cause amputation!

  2. Leila says:

I don’t think he’ll be trying any acrobatics for awhile. He is very careful around that door. (with good reason!) We’ll be happy when tomorrow is over and he is on the mend.

  3. Kat says:

O nos! Maw maw maw (ouch, ouch, ouch in hooman speak)

One must try to keep its dignity with the cone of shame! Mr. Gideon
